VP – Customer Strategy & EQnomics

What You’ll Do

 

You will activate, support and grow EQRx’s Customer Strategy & EQnomics team. You will lead the team in providing strategic input and intent for product pricing, product distribution, HEOR and pipeline asset development.  You will also lead the team in the execution of payer/provider contracting operations, analytics, reporting and invoicing to clients, tracking metrics and milestones to measure success and develop reporting and communications to appropriate audiences. You will identify market challenges and develop risk mitigation approaches and solutions across the various aspects of the provider and payer partnership constructs in the context of both the pharmacy and medical benefit in which EQRx medicines will compete. You will drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve goals and objectives with the EQRx leadership team and represent the vision and mission for the company.

You will aid in developing the overall global EQnomics strategy, helping to build our partnership model and evolve our value proposition for payers and other strategic partners. You will collaborate with EQRx partnership leads [RA1] to develop and execute partnership plans and build trusting relationships. You will provide structure, organization and leadership to ensure successful execution of major milestones across partnered programs. You will drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve partnership goals and objectives. This role will track metrics and milestones to measure success and develop reporting and communications to appropriate audiences. You will develop processes, tools and standards to efficiently scale internal strategies and partnership support operations. You will recruit, hire and train a team a team of individuals that will help build strategic plans and resources for implementation with payer and provider partnership agreements as well as with the overall commercialization strategy for EQRx medicines.

 

The Impact You Will Have

This is a critical role that will lead the development, curation, collaboration and execution of the overall value proposition for EQRx products that activate, support and grow EQRx’s payer and provider partnerships in the US by working closely with various stakeholders within the EQRx infrastructure.

Your Superpowers

  • You have a bachelor’s degree (a graduate degree is preferred for this role).
  • You have over 15 years of leadership experience in the healthcare industry, preferably within the disease states of oncology and immunology, focusing on payer and/or provider reimbursement and market access strategies, pricing, health economics/outcomes research and value based agreements.
  • You posses in-depth knowledge of payer/PBM economics: understanding key issues and how these shift given changing US healthcare landscape.
  • You are a strategic thinker and can identify emerging healthcare industry trends and problem-solve innovative ways (programs, contracts etc.) for EQRx to help meet those needs.
  • You have a clear understanding of analytics and can apply analytical insight to drive account performance and ability to “ask the right questions” of analytical resources.
  • You have significant knowledge of biopharmaceutical benefit management, ideally through both the pharmacy and medical benefit channels, reimbursement models, and the latest strategies and tactics to manage drug costs and utilization.
  • You possess deep experience and expert knowledge in US payer systems and different financial incentives of different stakeholders for patients to have access to innovative products for both medical (buy & bill) and pharmacy benefits.
  • You have a global understanding of drug pricing, market and patient access models, formulary management, payer and provider contracting, analytics and health economics/outcomes research.
  • You have demonstrated experience and success in developing product positioning and value proposition development to secure long-term partnerships with payer and provider organizations including; PBMs, health plans, FFS State Medicaid, IDNs, oncology practice settings and healthcare systems at both a national and regional level.
  • You are creative and bold – with a proven track record of developing new growth channels and market opportunities in creative ways. You have a proven track record of being unafraid to challenge the status quo and daring to try things differently.
  • You are a relationship builder – one who comfortably communicates with people across levels and across different types of organizations and drives to common points of interest. You can integrate resources to achieve strategic objectives, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are action-oriented, flexible, and have an entrepreneurial approach to partnerships.
  • You understand relationships are key and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • You have exceptional planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively contribute to broader partnership strategies and track multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
  • You can thrive in a smaller company environment and love the pace of a true startup.
  • You’re a team player who is willing to roll-up your sleeves and get the job done.
