What You’ll Do:

As Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis, you will be a key member of our Global Finance team who will lead the financial planning and analysis function at EQRx. You’ll lead budgeting, variance analysis, cash flow forecasting, evaluations of financial risks and opportunities as well as scenario planning and portfolio optimization.

You will report to the SVP, Global Finance and play a critical role in the development and evaluation of new and existing business strategies and financial plans. You’ll have high visibility within the organization, become a trusted partner, and collaborate cross-functionally across EQRx on financial planning and evaluation matters. You will partner closely with marketing, market access, clinical and technical operations leaders to ensure strategies, investments/financial plans, and tactics are based on sound methodologies as well as the objective synthesis of insights and analytics.

The Impact You Will Have:

Strategically, you will be designing an FP&A organization for commercial success while improving payer and patient value. You’ll play a critical role to partner with cross-functional teams to effectively scale up the organization and to successfully launch new assets. You will have a highly visible role in which success will be driven by the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, while also transforming the financial planning and analysis function to an industry-leading and best in class level.

You’ll play a critical role in assessing and assisting with key business and strategic activities, initiatives and transactions. You will establish a high performing culture which provides objective financial goals, KPIs, leading indicators, and a point of view on commercial performance – including IR related communication. You’ll proactively identify actionable levers to activate opportunities while exploring mechanisms to minimize risks. You will ensure the use of industry leading forecasting methods, tools, and techniques to create reliable forecasts on a flexible and scalable technology platform. You’ll drive consensus on the interpretation of disparate sources of evidence spanning business insights, analytics, competitive intelligence and other areas of expertise. You’ll lead a team and ensure direct involvement in projects with tight deadlines, including the Annual Operating Plan.

Your Professional Superpowers:

  • You have a bachelor's or master’s degree.
  • You have 15+ years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry (or equivalent).
  • You have a significant number of years of financial planning and/or analytic experience.
  • You have experience working at or with commercialize biotech/pharma companies, and preferably product launches in Oncology and Immunology.
  • You are experienced with international markets.
  • You have strong financial management, analytical and reasoning abilities.
  • You have ability to synthesize complex information into simple, actionable information to drive key decisions or shape opinions.
  • You can garner key insights by drawing inferences from disparate sources of evidence and pressure test against sound business logic and understanding.
  • You have experience operating in a fast paced, complex environment.
  • You have proven ability to lead teams, collaborate, and influence senior leaders.
  • You are comfortable working independently.
  • You are an excellent communicator.
  • You are a highly organized, results driven, problem solver.
  • You can prioritize and manage concurrent demands.
  • You can participate and work effectively on multiple cross-functional teams.
  • You understand relationships are key with internal and external stakeholders and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Teams love working with you, and you are someone who takes pride in mentoring and supporting the careers of others.
  • You can thrive in a smaller company environment and love the pace of a fast-growing company.
