What You'll Do

The Controller, reporting to the VP, Accounting and Finance Operations, will play a key role in the Accounting & Finance team. You will lead and direct accounting procedures and processes including completing month/quarter/year-end closes in an accurate and timely manner, preparing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and company policies, managing external auditor’s requests, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act, tax, legal and regulatory requirements, and continuously supporting business partners and financial leadership. You will continue to improve efficiencies in accounting processes and procedures and set the right tone and environment for team members as a leader. This role requires enthusiasm to identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and processes.

• You will play a critical role in linking the business activities and strategic initiatives with financial reporting. Your role will be an essential part of the day-to-day and long-term operations of the business, ensuring that we remain poised to achieve our mission of Remaking Medicine.

Your Superpowers

• You have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or comparable business degree, MBA/MSA, and a CPA preferred.
• You have 10+ years’ prior Accounting or Finance experience, with a mix of private and public accounting experience, biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry a plus.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• You are detail oriented, well organized, proactive, and self-motivating.
• You have a strong mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• You have a deep knowledge of GAAP.
• You can participate and work effectively on multiple cross-functional teams
• You play well in the sandbox. You understand relationships are key and have strong interpersonal skills.
• You are a leader. Teams love working with you and you are someone who takes pride in mentoring and supporting the careers of others.
